This Watertown homeowner contacted us to schedule a roof inspection. She had concerns that it was ready for replacement and wasn’t sure if it would make it through another winter without developing any leaks. Upon inspecting the roof, it was evident that the homeowner made the right decision by calling us. The roof had sustained storm damage and due to its age, a repair of the damaged areas wasn’t an option. The homeowner placed a claim with their insurance company and arrangements were made for our inspector to meet the adjuster at the home for their personal inspection. Once the homeowner was notified of the approval, they contacted us and scheduled a date to start the job. Our crew started off by completely removing the existing roof and inspecting the plywood to make sure it was not in need of replacement prior to installing the new roof. Once they determined that everything was ok we began by laying down the starter followed by ProArmor underlayment. Then it was time to start installing the Owens Corning Lifetime Architectural Shingles. During the process, we removed and replaced several other products such as the drip edge, ridge vents, pipe boots as well as adding an ice & water shield to avoid ice dams from building which can be damage the roof. Upon completion, the homeowner was very thankful that she had called Armor Shield Exteriors and is happy that she can now take comfort in knowing that she won’t have to worry about her roof for many years to come.
